"When you read a short story, you come out a little more aware and a little more in love with the world around you."

-George Saunders

Writing The Short Story is an exploratory writing class and workshop for all levels of writers. This 6-week class meeting on Tuesday evenings will cover the essential elements needed in a short story, how to choose a topic, outline, revise and critique. Students will leave with at least one completed short story as well as several micro stories. By reading, writing, and discussing, the goal of this class is to create a familiarity with short stories that will leave students ready to write any idea that pops into their imaginations.
